Training Workshop held in Houston, TX USA on November 8 through November 9, 2008.
The Rupani Foundation hosted the first Texas-based Montessori Model United Nations (MMUN) Teachers Training Workshop on November 8 and 9, 2008. Teachers attended state-wide from Houston, Dallas, Austin and Georgetown. The purpose was to expose more Texas Montessori teachers to the MMUN program, with the goal of making Texas the first state to host Montessori Model UN Regional Conferences. Such conferences would open the door for more students to participate in and benefit from this important course.

| On Monday, November 24, 2008, His Excellency Muhammad Mian Soomro, Chairman of the Pakistan Senate, formally inaugurated the new office in Houston, Texas. Chairman Nasruddin Rupani, its board and staff, welcomed the invited guests with a tour of the new offices, followed by an overview of the Rupani Foundation projects in Pakistan and Afghanistan. A live demonstration of the Millennium Alliance Portal (MAP) was presented; this revolutionary software provides a unified platform for creating public-private partnerships by matching resources with opportunities to help achieve the United Nations Millennium Development Goals. |

| HOUSTON: The Rupani Foundation (RF) ceremonially opened its new offices on Southwest Freeway this week. Visiting diplomat and Chairman of the Pakistan Senate Muhammad Mian Soomro officially inaugurated the pristine headquarters of the organization that has made significant inroads into helping reduce poverty by promoting social entrepreneurship in the marginalized mountain communities in northern Pakistan and surrounding areas.
