The Northern Areas and Chitral have an enormous potential for hydro power generation. Local NGOs, such as AKRSP, and Government Agencies have initiated a number of micro projects. However given the vast potential and high demand for electricity, there is a need for further investment and development. Rupani Foundation intends to be a catalyst in supporting projects and attracting resources for the development of hydro-power generation for the benefit of mountain communities.
