Social Entrepreneurship
Social Entrepreneurship is the next step for mountain communities who have developed their educational and vocational skills. Rupani Foundation's Program of Gem Cutting and Polishing and Program of Education provide an excellent base that residents can build upon. We promote spirit of entrepreneurship with a particular focus on social responsibility and gender equality. We also provide support to relevant institutions, such as Karakoram International University (KIU), local government and community based institutions in terms of research and training, micro-ventures, business mentoring, and merit based awards.

Rupani Foundation believes in the holistic development of the communities. We provide not only education and skills but we also provide the means to create a successful business by working with other organizations.

Accomplishments:
  • KADO has started production on commercial basis involving 25 trainees who receive 80% of the income
  • 29 Male Trainees and 2 Female Trainees have started their own businesses.
